Postgraduates at Department of Classics and Ancient History, University of Warwick
The Dept of Classics and Ancient History, University of Warwick, is currently accepting applications from postgraduates interested in our Taught Master's Courses in Ancient Visual and Material Culture, with streams available in collaboration with the British School at Athens and British School at Rome. Students on the course take two core modules (Approaching Ancient Visual and Material Culture; an ancient or modern language) and select two further modules out of Classical Epigraphy, Ancient Numismatics, and Art of the Ancient World, or modules based at the BSR and BSA. The course may be taken full time over one year, or part-time over two. The MA provides a thorough preparation in research techniques if you are considering further research in the fields of art, numismatics or epigraphy, or are working on an historical topic that involves the consideration of material evidence. It also offers a detailed understanding of ancient visual and material culture to prepare you if you are aiming to enter a career in museums and curatorial work, or in education.
