How to join AIEGL

New members are invited to pay their membership fee according to the following instructions and to fill out the membership form below.

Members of the American Society of Greek and Latin Epigraphy (ASGLE), of the British Epigraphy Society (BES) and of the Société française d’études épigraphiques sur Rome et le monde romain (SFER) have the opportunity to pay their AIEGL annual membership fee through these associations.

• AIEGL individual Membership is 25 € per year, payable by 31 March of the current year.

• Lifetime Membership fee is 375 €.

• Benefactor: “A benefactor is an individual who has applied for this status and who has given for the year in question a sum greater than ten times that of the prescribed membership fee” (see Regulations: Art. 4 – Members).

A standing-order is advisable: order your bank to pay the 25 € on a regular yearly basis. In order for you to save bank charges, we suggest that you pay for more than just one year at a time: for instance, the payment of 125 € would cover the annual membership fees for the period 2023-2027, that is, until the next Congress that will take place in Bologna in 2027. Lifetime Membership fee (corresponding to the amount of 15 annual membership fees) is 375 €. Kindly make sure AIEGL gets the full amount credited (i.e. 25 € per year, or 100 € for four years, or 375 € for lifetime membership) by instructing your bank to effect payment without any bank charges to AIEGL.

For transfers from countries outside the Euro zone, we recommend members to make a joint transfer – together with further persons and/or for several years – of their membership fees so that the bank fees for foreign transfers are only incurred once.
