Hans Krummrey (1930–2018)

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing, on 18^th January 2018, of Dr. Hans Krummrey (born 1930 in Guben/Gubin), director of the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum from 1967 to 1995. This is a deep loss for all of us and for epigraphic studies. He will be forever remembered by the academic community for his consistent scholarly activity, his passion for epigraphy, and as a gentle, soft-spoken human being.
